Discover the ultimate destination of the beautiful island of Dia which is located 7 miles northeast of the city of Heraklion and is a jewel north of Crete, which, due to its very important biodiversity, has been declared a protected area in the Natura network. Experience a rib trip and swim in the crystal-clear waters of Dia Island.
After getting to know the captain and a short safety briefing, we will depart from the picturesque Marina of Gouves and head towards the island of Zeus! Our first stop in the Aginara (artichoke) bay east of the island where we will have free time to explore the seabed and the ruins of the port via snorkeling (which apparently has sunk due to the destruction caused in 1450 BC by the eruption of the volcano of Santorini). Then, we are transferred to the bay of Ag. Georgiou where after disembarking we will have the opportunity to hike on the island of Zeus (which was created by him) learning about the rich biodiversity, its myths and history. After our tour you will have free time to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the pristine beaches of the island and to enjoy your lunch. Finally, we board the boat and return to the place where the excursion started and then to the hotel.
