Discover a full-day adventure that blends majestic landscapes, local flavors, and powerful history, all leading to the legendary island of Spinalonga.
At first, we arrive in the elegant town of Agios Nikolaos, known for its stunning lake, marina, and laid-back charm. You’ll have free time to stroll the promenade, shop for souvenirs, or enjoy a drink or a coffee with views of the sea.
As we descend toward the coast, the sparkling bay of Elounda comes into view — one of the most picturesque areas in Crete. The views across the Mirabello Gulf are simply stunning.
We reach the charming seaside village of Plaka, where you’ll have time to explore. From here, you’ll board a traditional boat to the island of Spinalonga — a former leper colony steeped in mystery and history. With up to 3 hours of free time, you can explore the island’s Venetian fortress, walk along the fortified walls, and learn the stories of those who once lived here. You may also spend your free time in Plaka for an exquisite seafood meal or simply swim in the popular beach of Plaka, awarded with a Blue Flag for it’s crystal clear waters.
Your journey continues with a scenic drive through the mountains surrounding Fourni, offering panoramic views and a glimpse of rural Cretan life.
